Meetings
The Parish Steering Committee met on Thursday, 21st January. The points agreed were: 1. The insurance company have given the go ahead for the repair of the gates and railings. This will happen as soon as possible.
2. At the same time the external notice boards will be repaired or replaced.
3. The Finance and Buildings Committee will be looking at the whole site to assess maintenance and development works.
4. The Parish Meeting will consider
a) Parish Structures
b) the name of a future parish council - its nature and role
c) the composition of a future parish council.
5. The Parish Meeting will discuss the adoption of St James' church, Namatumba as our parish project.
The Parish Meeting was held on Thursday, 25th February to discuss our Parish Profile (last updated in 2007), the future administration of the Parish and the election of a Parish Advisory Council. The need to maintain our strong Parish community in the light of the shortage of vocations to the Sacred Priesthood remains as an important call to every member of our community.

The Parish Steering Committee met on Thursday 18th March. The agenda was to discuss and finalize a draft Constitution for the new Parish Advisory Council. This draft has now been forwarded to the Vicar General for his comments and approval. When the constitution has been approved and returned it will be circulated to the whole Parish for acceptance.
